This established home was in the process of being renovated when we were hired to develop the landscape plan. The new owners wanted much of the existing plant material to be saved and relocated. A large amount of the foundational plantings were in good health and provided privacy, so these were augmented and left in place. We terraced the front yard with concrete walls and gave the whole front entry an organized look.
The strong architectural lines of the home gave us the opportunity to showcase vertical accents with grass groupings, along with the relocated hydrangea and daylilies for sharp textural contrasts. Large boulders and succulents help fill in the bottom level of this view overlooking the beautiful prairie coulee.
